A. “How To Be Interesting – incongruity and audience expectation.” by Mr Rhys Thomas
In this exclusive workshop to the Busking Round participants, Mr Rhys Thomas (Professional science performer from U.S.) will be addressing the basics of sparking the public’s interest using costume, performance, and humor. This workshop is specially targeted to help you to perform to your best in the Busking Round.

In this workshop, Dr Sow would be showing a few examples on how to make use of simple tools to illustrate interesting scientific phenomena and to engage you in exercises to develop scientific concepts from the demonstrations shown.
About Dr Sow:
Besides being the Assistant Dean (Outreach) at the Department of Physics, Faculty of Science, National University of SIngapore, Dr Sow is passionate about performing and explaining science to the public. He manages the Physics Demonstration Lab team and can be seen frequently performing his demos to students and public.
