The supercharged National Junior Robotics Competition finally kicked off on 6th Sept!! For the next 5 days, 411 teams of upper primary and 330 teams of lower secondary students will battle to assemble and programme the ultimate robot that can outperform the rest. This year's theme of Bermuda Triangle guarantees the participants a stormy ride!

A cheerleading group in action!

Day one will witness the fierce competition between the primary schools to reign supreme at the preliminary rounds. The students had invented some bizarre and wonderful Robots to compete in two highly challenging missions.

A young enterpreneur at work! Can she convince the judges??
In Mission One teams will send out robots to "Survey the Danger" area in the no-longer Tranquility Bay to create a big DO-NOT-ENTER are for shipping traffic. The mission is complicated by the presence of many ships already in the region.

In Mission Two challenges the teams to 3 objectives; to repair SAINSBURY's transmitter located at the southern tip of the danger zone; rescue TRS Safeway and tow it to
safety and last is to retrieve 2 barrels of petrol stored on K3. All these three objectives had to be accomplished with the robot still intact.

Wow! the final playing field truly is no mean feat with ramps and obstacles, wonder if my robot can make it!

This would certainly be too much work for anyone. But the supreme Robots showed us that nothing can stand in their way!!!

Catch Roger and Harith entertaining the crowd with their wacky games and performances!
