Thirteen passionate research scientists and engineers were accorded national
recognition for their outstanding contributions to the development of
science and technology in Singapore at the National Science and Technology
Awards Dinner held on 25 September 2003. The awards were presented by
Guest-of-honour RDM (NS) Teo Chee Hean, Minister for Defence, who also
delivered his to more than 500 key players from industry, academia and
