for Education and Community Development &
Sports in the presence of hundreds of guests and
curious spectators, X-periment! showcased interesting
works in the field of science, technology and
biomedicine from 17 research institutions and
science education partners. Science shows, stage
games, hands-on activities and many science exhibits
filled the day with edutainment fun for the visitors.
The
three-day science carnival was a great success,
with more than 16,000 visitors. Apart from exhibits
of scientific research, there were also hands-on
Do-It-Yourself Activity area for the younger visitors
to participate in and learn more about the structure
of DNA and molecules of salt and water.
Jamie
Yeo and Daniel Ong, DJs from the radio station
Perfect 10, also came down on Saturday to entertain
the visitors. They even acted as volunteers for
the Cool Science by Denise and Emma! It was certainly
no easy feat with the threat of flames over their
head, and having to test their stamina in |
